A crucial part of the game is the henchmen that players can recruit. Evil Genius 2 features a range of henchmen with their own special abilities and characteristics to support the evil genius in their dastardly machinations. Players can have up to 5 henchmen working for them at a time, with the henchmen taking on roles like patrolling the evil genius’ lair, engaging in combat, and more.

10 Clara Jones

Specializing in Deception, Clara Jones is one of the henchmen in Evil Genius 2 with the ability to enhance traps within the lair. Additionally, she is able to lower stats, which can make her handy to employ as a sort of buffer to boost the effectiveness of any offensive or defensive measures that players employ within their lairs.

Somewhat complicated to recruit initially, it’s worth noting that players aren’t able to employ both Clara Jones and Carl Cafard, another henchman, simultaneously. Recruiting one of these characters will result in the other no longer being available to recruit as a henchman and they will instead operate as a crimelord.

9 Carl Cafard

Specialising in various traps as well as Deception more generally, Carl Cafard can be recruited fairly early on in Evil Genius 2. Despite Cafard’s less-than-stellar armor and damage ratings, he is more than capable of distracting and hoodwinking rogue Agents and enemies with his decoys and traps.

Cafard and Clara Jones, another of Evil Genius 2’s henchmen, appear to be enemies or rivals of some sort. As such, it’s actually not possible for players to recruit both of these agents as henchmen. Recruit Jones first, and players forfeit the opportunity to employ Cafard.

8 Sir Daniel

Operating as a sort of cross between a combat or Muscle-oriented henchman and one that relies on stealth, Sir Daniel can use both stealth and traps to take out enemies.

Daniel’s perfect damage rating makes him the ideal agent for offensive tactics in particular. And, Daniel can use his Camouflage ability to conceal himself before attacking other Agents, which costs Morale but deals considerable damage. While perhaps not the most versatile henchman of them all, Daniel works very efficiently as a type of sweeping attacker to deal with multiple threats in the base simultaneously.

7 Eli Barracuda Jr.

Easily one of the most user-friendly and valuable early-game henchmen, Eli Barracuda Jr. is a versatile Muscle henchmen who makes up for his lacklustre stats with his highly useful skills.

A smooth talker, Barracuda Jr. has the ability to charm agents attempting to infiltrate the Evil Genius’ lair, which weakens their resolve. He’s also able to one-shot just about any enemy agent in the first half of the game using his silver revolver ability. While Barracuda is perhaps not quite as useful in the endgame, his performance right off the bat easily makes up for it.

6 Full Metal Jackie

A highly versatile, aggressive Muscle henchman, Full Metal Jackie can be recruited towards the end of Evil Genius 2’s campaign and is a fantastic choice for doing large amounts of damage quickly.

Jackie has the ability to equip all Muscle henchmen with handguns for additional damage, making her an excellent supporting Muscle henchman. This is in addition to her Fire Sale ability, which gives all of her attacks the chance to set their targets alight. Boasting strong stats and easily able to deal large amounts of damage, just about every player should consider recruiting her.

5 Dr. Magnolia Ming

When used effectively, Dr. Magnolia Ming can be an insanely versatile Science henchman both offensively and defensively. Despite being unlocked relatively early, Ming is easily capable of taking out large groups of enemies without breaking a sweat.

Ming’s Contagion ability is fantastic for dealing with multiple enemies at once. And, her Cure ability can heal agents and minions, which can be super helpful in a pinch. While Science henchmen require more strategy to use than Muscle henchmen, Ming proves that they can be even more devastating when in capable hands.

4 Incendio

Easily one of the most powerful and destructive Deception henchmen in Evil Genius 2, Incendio is a cover-focused henchman who can distract both Agents and Tourists alike with his magic tricks. Despite his stats being far from elite, Incendio’s attacks deal fairly massive damage (note that Incendio is capable of friendly fire, though, so players need to ensure that their minions aren’t anywhere near Incendio when he attacks).

Additionally, Incendio deals suprisingly strong melee damage. While players need to be careful using Incendio in battle, he’s easily one of the best attacking and covering henchmen in the game.

3 Fugu Furakawa

On paper, the sushi chef gone rogue Fugu Furukawa looks like one of Evil Genius 2’s weakest henchmen by far - with low stats and mostly poor ratings, it’s no wonder that players overlook her.

In practice, though, Furukawa is the perfect henchman for subtly taking down enemies and rogue Agents alike. She’s able to poison targets, which slowly drains their stats without them sounding the alarm. And, Furukawa is also capable of creating a poisonous cloud that both damages and slows down enemies. Furukawa is an excellent choice to complement just about any other henchman in Evil Genius 2.

2 Iris

Plenty of players would argue that Iris is Evil Genius 2’s best Science henchman, and it’s not difficult to understand why. Iris is a weapon both offensively and defensively, with abilities that allow her to heal while taking damage, as well as acting as a camera to give the player 360 security coverage and visibility.

Also, Iris is available to recruit fairly early in the Evil Genius 2 campaign. Thanks to her versatility, abilities, and stats, just about any player would benefit from employing Iris as soon as they’re able to.

1 Jubei

Equipped with the highest possible damage rating and decent stats to boot, Jubei is one of Evil Genius 2’s most powerful Muscle henchmen by far. A cranky old samurai, Jubei is far from subtle, but is a fantastic choice for any player looking to capitalise on the sheer destructive power he brings to the table.

Not only that, but Jubei is actually available as a starting henchman. With abilities that let him temporarily increase the damage he’s dealing or teleport to attack enemies in other areas, recruiting Jubei is basically a no-brainer.

Evil Genius 2 is available now on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Microsoft Windows.
